She is not only a trailblazer as the first black Superior Court Judge in Clayton County history, but she is also a jurist who embodies what justice is supposed to look like: fair, balanced and principled. I’ve had the privilege of appearing before Judge Carter and every time, I witnessed consistency. She is fair to the state and equally as fair to the defense. She listens, she evaluates, and more importantly, she decides based on the law and not emotion or pressure. She is tough when required but has compassion when warranted. That balance is rare and that balance is necessary. I ask you today, to support Judge Carter for four more years of justice, integrity, and fairness.”
